Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Serves as primary contact and manager for prospective students from a specific geographic territory. Coordinates high school and/or community college visits, and attends college fairs, programs, and events to recruit students. Provides admissions counseling to prospective students on and off campus and assists with navigating the university's academic and co-curricular environment.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Manages assigned territory and planning for recruitment cycles
2. Counsels prospective student populations with goal of helping them apply, gain admission, and enroll at KSU
3. Advises prospective-students individually and in groups regarding admission requirements, degrees, and course selections
4. Trains new admissions counselors and front desk staff
5. Oversees activities and workflow that improves customer service levels, including allocating daily work, coordinating communications with applicants, identifying workflow improvements to meet the needs of prospective students
6. Works with faculty and staff on KSU general admission requirements for prospective students
7. Travels locally and possibly nationally to recruit students
8. Remains abreast of changing policies and procedures in university admissions and enrollment services
9. Proactively serves and provides guidance, counseling, and advisement to students regarding processes and policies related to enrollment
10. Provides coverage for admissions and information sessions as needed

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The Senior Admissions Recruiter will be based near Gwinnett County, Georgia and will work primarily out of their home with extensive traveling within the territory
2. Tasked with growing applications, accepted students, and enrollment from the eastern side of Metropolitan Atlanta through recruitment in the designated recruitment territory
3. Meet recruitment objectives through building, managing, and maintaining a competitive recruitment territory.
4. Will report to the Kennesaw campus or Marietta campus for mandatory staff meetings, staff trainings, summer updates sessions with campus partners, and for job-related campus events
5. Serves as the primary contact for high school counselors, community leaders, and prospective students and families from their recruitment territory

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English and Spanish) with a high level of proficiency in each language

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience
Experience working with university databases
Experience in admissions recruiting in an educational environment

Proposed Salary

The minimum of the salary range is $48,180. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
