Job Description

The Assistant Registrar oversees all curriculum processes within the Office of the University Registrar. These processes ensure the oversight of academic structure updates, management of the curriculum related interfaces, course and curriculum approval workflows, the implementation of new curriculum, catalog updates, and systems access to curriculum related data.

The Assistant Registrar is also responsible for leading publication processes in the office. This includes documenting processes, coordinating joint efforts to produce the University Catalog and Commencement publications, monitoring and ensuring compliance with college, university, accreditation, state and federal regulations, and VA compliance. Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage curriculum changes in an efficient and effective manner
  • Administer and gather all information for curriculum requirements
  • Coordinate with various faculties for web development
  • Coordinate curriculum changes in DegreeWorks
  • Manage the catalog preparation and publication process
  • Participate in assigned committees and development activities
  • Supervise efficient working of assigned staff and maintain ideal working conditions according to workplace policies
  • Ensure proper documentation of curriculum changes
  • Ensure proper documentation of federal, state, and VA rules

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution
  • Three years experience in a higher education setting
  • Two years of experience with curriculum and catalog processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Banner, CourseLeaf, Argos as well as MS Office
  • Strong leadership that supports the vision and mission of EM to the key duties
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Additional Information

Salary will be between $55,000 and $57,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
