What We Are Looking For
Baylor Law School's Admissions and Financial Aid Administrative Associate position supports the mission of Baylor University by providing broad, complex, and confidential administrative support to the constituents of the Baylor Law Office of Admissions and Financial Aid. The Office of Admissions and Financial Aid at the School of Law seeks a self-motivated Administrative Associate. The candidate we are seeking will be the initial point of contact for the office, will execute admissions office events and visits, process and manage law school applications, and prepare and manage communications from the office.

A high school diploma, 3 years of experience, and an active Christian Faith are required. A bachelor's degree, 5 years of experience, and an active Christian Faith are preferred.

Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of office and secretarial procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow through on projects independently.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with attention to detail.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a hard-working, dedicated team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and skills, and willingness to complete regular training for all systems used regularly.
  • Strong commitment to exceptional customer service.


What You Will Do
  • Manage the day-to-day functions of the office, including but not limited to answering phones, welcoming guests, screening visitors and questions as appropriate, monitoring general Admissions email account, distributing mail, maintaining filing systems, overseeing mailings, making copies, maintaining office calendar, ordering supplies, running errands, maintaining cleanliness of reception area, updating inventory, and taking other proactive organization actions.
  • Prepare and send mailings and other communications to prospective and admitted students and pre-law advisors.
  • Hire, supervise, and coordinate work projects for undergraduate student workers.
  • Support admissions team in the coordination of logistics and data input for all admissions events, Orientation, and on-campus visits.
  • Process and assign application files to reviewers.
  • Assist with logistics of recruitment travel.
  • Prepare expense reports, reconcile purchasing card, maintain records of expenses, and assist with overseeing office budget.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
  • Ability to comply with University policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
