JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Coordinator- Admissions and Recruitment manages the admissions process and implements recruitment initiatives for the College of Health Professions. This position supports prospective students throughout the admissions cycle, coordinates recruitment events, and ensures efficient administrative processes related to enrollment. This position collaborates with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to enhance student outreach and improve applicant experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and manages the application review process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students, responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Maintains applicant records and tracks admissions data using the college's student information systems- Banner, CAS Web Admit, and Verified Credentials.
- Prepares all files for interview and admissions cycle including a summary spreadsheet of transcript evaluation for prerequisites and GPA calculation for department admissions committees.
- Communicates admissions decisions to applicants and guides the next steps, including financial aid, enrollment, and orientation.
- Develops and implements recruitment strategies to attract pool of applicants.
- Organizes and participates in recruitment events, including college fairs, campus visits, information sessions, and virtual engagement opportunities.
- Maintains relationships with high schools, community colleges, healthcare organizations, and other external partners to strengthen recruitment pipelines.
- Develops marketing materials, manages social media campaigns, and updates the college's website to support recruitment efforts.
- Prepares admissions reports, enrollment projections, and applicant trend analyses.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience; OR a combination of education and related work experience to equal six (6) years.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to learn and become proficient in software programs utilized by the university and department.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks to meet departmental needs in a timely manner.
- Skills proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
